On May 15 and 16, our Munich office transformed into a hub of curiosity, fresh ideas, and personal development. The 'Growth Days' at VOK DAMS gave apprentices and trainees from all German offices the opportunity to broaden their horizons and gain new inspiration beyond day-to-day work. Two days dedicated to hands-on learning, meaningful connections, and professional exchange.

DAY 1: PRACTICAL WORKSHOPS AND SHARED EXPERIENCES

The first day began with a warm Bavarian welcome – complete with fresh pretzels. After a brief round of introductions, the workshop sessions kicked off. The focus: key topics from the world of events, including client communication, budgeting, and cross-disciplinary collaboration. These subjects were brought to life by experienced colleagues through real-world examples and an open, dialogue-driven atmosphere. Participants were able to deepen their knowledge and gain valuable insights for their daily work.

Later, a relaxed city tour through Munich provided further opportunities for exchange. The day concluded with a shared dinner featuring traditional Bavarian cuisine – a convivial evening with plenty of space for personal conversation.

DAY 2: INTERNATIONAL INSIGHTS AND A FOCUS ON SUSTAINABILITY

The second day centered around international exchange: a delegation of students from High Point University in North Carolina – from the Department of Event and Hospitality Management – visited our office. Following a keynote presentation on sustainability, a lively and inspiring dialogue emerged between our young professionals and the American guests. The conversation highlighted just how enriching different perspectives can be – both professionally and culturally.

TAKEAWAY: TWO DAYS THAT LEFT A LASTING IMPRESSION

It wasn’t just the content that made the Growth Days special, but above all the personal connections. The exchange between our apprentices and trainees opened up new perspectives, deepened knowledge, and strengthened team spirit. Moments like these – of shared learning and connection – are what define our approach to training: hands-on, collaborative, and future-focused.
